Pacific Pagoda Sushi & Grill

Pacific Pagoda

NOT YET ASG RATED.

This is a small restaurant, located in a plaza. At the time of my visit,  the actual restaurant was closed and working out of a neighboring Asian on-the-go restaurant; obviously owned by the same people. The only person working was the person who made my sushi, at least I’m pretty sure as I was not able to see. I walked in to the, seemingly, fast-food Asian restaurant and ordered my sushi which would normally be served out of the neighboring restaurant. They say fine dining top quality sushi.

The miso soup was dark and little saltier than I would expect. Personally, I was not a fan of the texture of the tofu, either.

Along with my miso soup, I ordered two Temaki rolls; one white escolar jalapeno role and one Alaskan role; this deviates from my standard first-time order but I really just wanted a couple of Temaki rolls today. The rolls were a bit heavy on the rice for my preference and I would have liked to see more fish.

The rice is also a little firm on the day I visited and didn’t have much flavor. The flavor of the fish was OK but not my favorite.

I will have to return to try once they are fully open again. This was during COVID times and I can’t really judge honestly due to lack of… well, everything.
