AVL What, Now???

AVL Sushi Guide!

That’s right, in case you were unaware, Asheville has a wide variety of fresh Sushi options and we, here at AVL Sushi Guide, are sushi connoisseurs. WE LOVE OUR SUSHI! We find enjoyment in every aspect of it (even when we overdo it just a little).

Sushi is art you can eat. And the art isn’t only in the presentation; it’s within the experience as a whole – From the service, to the presentation, to the consistency & the taste (oh, the taste), all the way to the lingering flavors in your mouth after you’ve left the restaurant. Sushi is not just a food, it’s an experience. So let Us be Your guide to Asheville’s delectable sushi options!

A note from the editor:

I’ll admit that I am no writer. I am not a blogger or anything like that. I am not a food critic, either. I am definitely a Foodie, though! I enjoy food not just for the simplicity of it – like, it tastes good and makes my belly stop rumblin’ – but I also like the complexities of it; the textures, forefront tastes, after tastes and long after tastes. And I Really enjoy Sushi! I was first introduced to it at the age of 11 by my mom & step father; we occasionally went out for sushi together and I have been eating it ever since. I don’t want to age myself here so we’ll just call it a little over 20 years. 😉

I like to believe that I have an educated Sushi pallet. Throughout my years, I have made it a goal to try all the sushi restaurants in and around the cities and towns I’ve lived in; from the less popular ones to the most popular ones. Many times, the ones in between are where it’s at for me.

I’ve even ventured into my own creations w/ fresh fish from Mother Ocean!

Okay, fine… The last one is one of those little sushi candy kits Marie made, but it’s cute!

This project is simply a labor of love. Not that I really needed to take on another project but here we are! LOL I love Sushi and I love Asheville; so, I decided to put together this little guide to help people to decide which restaurants to try next. I hope You find it useful 🙂
